Andy Cole returns to the bench and will begin his second season as an assistant to Wolbeck.
"Andy has been a welcome addition to our staff," said Wolbeck. "His soft-spoken presence helps to balance to our staff and he has provided excellent scouting of our opponents. Andy is also a great trainer of our libero position and helped Alyse Serritella to second place on our single-season digs list."
Cole came to Loyola after a standout playing career at Ohio State, where he was a two-time team captain and competed against Loyola's men's volleyball team in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. Named MIVA Freshman of the Year in 2003, Cole earned second team all-conference honors three times in his tenure and finished his time as a Buckeye with 1,155 career kills - eighth all-time in OSU history. Cole also gained experience with USA Volleyball before committing to Ohio State, as he attened the High Performance Camp in 1998-99, was a member of the Youth Training Team in 2000 and participated on the Junior National Team in 2002.
Prior to coming to Rogers Park, Cole was coaching at the club level serving as the instructor for the Wisconsin Power's boys 18s teams out of Madison, Wis.
Cole graduated from Ohio State in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration - Finance.
