Loyola To Host Two Winter Softball Camps

CHICAGO - Loyola University Chicago head softball coach Yvette Healy and her staff will hold sessions of winter camps over two days on Nov. 25 and Dec. 2 at the Gentile Center. Camps range from total skills to lefty/slap hitting and pitching.

On Nov. 25, lefty/slapper, total skills and movement of pitches camps will be offered although pitchers must bring their own catcher. A total skills camp, encompassing fielding, throwing, hitting, base running and advanced position-specific instruction will be held on Dec. 2.

The Loyola Winter Softball Camps are open to girls ages 13-18. Cost is $100 per camp and is only $75 for the lefty/slapper camp. For more information or to register, please contact the Loyola softball office at (773) 508-2580 or email yhealy@luc.edu.

Last season, Healy and the Ramblers captured their fourth Horizon League regular-season title in the last seven seasons and knocked off Women's College World Series participants, DePaul and Northwestern.
