Solava and Schober Named To All-Tournament Team

CHICAGO - After placing third at the Horizon League Softball Championship earlier today, a pair of Loyola University Chicago were named to the All-Tournament Team. Sophomore pitcher Amy Solava and senior outfielder Nora Schober were recognized following their outstanding individual performances.

Solava won all three games for Loyola and struck out 23 in 27.1 innings. She also belted a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to lift the Ramblers to a 2-1 victory over Butler on May 9.

Schober batted .375 (6 for 16) with five stolen bases, a double and a RBI and extended her streak of reaching base safely to 14 games before having it snapped in a 5-0 loss to Cleveland State earlier today.

The 2008 Horizon League Championship All-Tournament Team is listed below.
