April 2...her two-run double in the seventh inning provided the winning margin in Loyola's 6-4 victory at Notre Dame...reached base safely in 16 of the final 17 games of the year...hit a pair of home runs and drove in five in a 6-5 loss to Wisconsin...went 2 for 4 with a double, grand slam and six RBI in a 9-7 victory versus Wright State at the Horizon League Championship...also homered versus Cleveland State at the league tournament...over the final 16 contests of the season, batted .455 (20 for 44) with 24 RBI, five doubles and five home runs...her 13 doubles fell one shy of a Loyola single-season record...went 6 for 9 (.667) with three doubles and two RBI in a three-game series at Butler...also circled the bases against Michigan State and Illinois State, among others...named to the 2006 Spring Horizon League Academic Honor Roll. 2005: Enjoyed a productive first full season, batting .259 with 23 runs, nine doubles, a homer and nine RBI...hit safely in each of the first four contests of the year, picking up a pair of hits against Nebraska...played most of the season in left field, but also saw time in the pitching circle, where she compiled a 0-1 mark with a respectable 3.87 ERA...put together a seven-game hitting streak, April 19-30...had four multi-hit efforts, including three three-hit performances in that stretch...hit her first career home run on her 20th birthday, in game two of a doubleheader versus Western Michigan on May 3...was 3 for 4 with two runs and a stolen base in game one of a twinbill at Valparaiso...was 6 for 9 with three runs in a doubleheader at Bradley...went 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI versus Butler on April 30...doubled home a pair of runs in game two of a double dip against Wright State...made her first appearance and starting assignment as a pitcher, at Bradley, throwing 6.0 innings while allowing four earned runs in game two of the doubleheader...tossed a total of 5.2 innings of scoreless, two-hit relief spanning both ends of a double dip against Western Michigan. 2004: Played in only one game before breaking her left arm and missing the remainder of the season...was 1 for 3 against Hawaii in her only appearance of the season. High School: Team captain as a senior...all-conference and all-area selection...earned the Palos Park Women's Club Scholar-Athlete Award...batted .387 with a .457 on-base percentage as a senior at Stagg High School. |
