2009: Had a strong sophomore season and ranked second on the team in batting average (.290), hits (36), home runs (5) and RBIs (23) despite missing 12 games due to injury or illness...accounted for nine multi-hit efforts, including a pair of three-hit performances...went 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs in an 8-2 win over Dayton in the final game of the Islander Invitational...had two hits in three consecutive contests, March 6-7...named to the all-tournament team at the Under Armour Invitational after batting .533 (8-for-15) in five contests...homered in both games of a doubleheader against Green Bay...finished the year by hitting safely in the final seven contests and also reached base safely in 11 of her final 12 appearances...member of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll. 2008: Was one of three Ramblers to start all 48 contests...was the starting shortstop in each game and tied for third on the team with three home runs...earned Horizon League All-Newcomer Team accolades...posted four multi-hit performances...picked up her first career hit in a 12-11 win at UNLV...doubled and drove in a run in an 8-6 loss to No. 2 Arizona State...in a doubleheader at Butler, went 4-for-6 with a pair of RBIs...had a four-game hitting streak, March 26-29...hit a pair of dingers, the first of her career, and drove in five runs in a 10-0 rout of Youngstown State...also circled the bags in a 4-3 win over Northern Illinois...had a pair of hits against Cleveland State at the Horizon League Championship...named a NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete. High School: As a senior, batted .397 with 25 hits, 12 doubles, three triples, a pair of home runs and 28 RBIs, despite missing 10 games with a thumb injury...four-year starter and two-time all-conference selection...during her junior campaign, hit .444 with 40 hits, six doubles, three triples, five homers and 33 RBIs...three-time all-area honoree...earned all-state accolades and was named Super 60 and Outstanding Athlete of the Year as a senior...member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society...played for the Stone City Sharks, helping the team to the 14U and 16U National Championships. |
