Women’s Golf Captures Third Place at North/South Intercollegiate

Nicole Puch led Loyola with a two-round score of 164 at the North/South Intercollegiate

JACKSONVILLE (March 15, 2005) – Loyola University Chicago’s women’s golf squad wrapped up its spring trip to Florida by placing third at the 15-team North/South Intercollegiate hosted by Butler University. The Ramblers, who posted the lowest team score in round two, finished with a team score of 653 (329-324).

Senior Nicole Puch continued her consistent play by shooting a 164 (83-81) to lead the Ramblers. She was followed closely by a trio of Loyola golfers who carded 165 – Marissa Capriola (82-83), Sarah Van Vooren (84-81) and Rachael Sinnen (86-79). Rounding out Loyola’s list of competitors was Michelle Puch (80-91), Katelyn Gibbons (88-94), Danielle Schuessler (98-96) and Melissa Allen (98-110).

The Ramblers will host the Loyola Invitational, April 11-12 at the Winnetka Golf Club.
