Ian Anderson was named MIVA Player of the Week for his performance versus IPFW
 
 
Ian Anderson Earns MIVA Player of the Week Honors

CHICAGO - Loyola University Chicago senior opposite hitter Ian Anderson was named Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Player of the Week it was announced today. Anderson earned the honor for the first time this season after helping the Ramblers to a 3-2 win over IPFW in the MIVA Tournament quarterfinal round on Friday.

The Wauwatosa, Wis., native recorded 21 kills, two digs and five total blocks, while hitting .562 to lead Loyola to the win over the Mastodons. Anderson is nationally ranked as he averages 4.14 kills and 4.81 points per game and the First Team All-MIVA selection also leads the Ramblers in service aces per game (0.33). He has topped the 20-kill plateau seven times this season, including a career-best, 33-kill performance at Hawaii.

Anderson and the fourth-seeded Ramblers head to Columbus, Ohio on Thursday, April 24 as they battle top-seeded Ohio State in the MIVA semifinals. First serve is slated for 7:30 p.m., Eastern.
