2006 AVCA All-America First Team 2006, 2005 All-MIVA First Team 2005, 2006 Academic All-MIVA 2004 MIVA Freshman of the Year 2004 All-MIVA Second Team 2006 (Junior): Became first non-senior in program history to win AVCA All-America honors after earning first team honors...tallied 278 kills (2.81 kpg), 129 blocks (1.30 bpg) and 19 service aces (0.19 sapg) in 99 games played...finished second in the nation with a .490 hitting percentage... captured First Team All-MIVA and Academic All-MIVA for the second year in a row...ranks second in school history with 351 block assists... garnered Sports Imports/AVCA Division I-II National and MIVA Shondell/Dunlap Division Player of the Week after posting a season-best 21 kills against Ball State (3/24)...tallied a season-high nine blocks against Mercyhurst (4/1) and California Baptist (3/9)...posted season-best three digs on three occasions and two solo blocks against Lindenwood (1/14). 2005 (Sophomore): Played in 105 games...earned national rankings in blocks (third) and hitting percentage (10th)...named an Academic All-MIVA and All-MIVA First Team selection...earned MIVA Player of The Week honors (3/14)...had double-digit kills in 15 matches and recorded 15 service aces...led the team in solo blocks (nine) and block assists (140)...is LU's single-season record holder in block assists with 140...recorded three service aces against Findlay (2/12)...had a season-high 13 blocks (four solo, nine assist) against Cal Baptist (2/4)... had a season-high 20 kills and posted a .516 hitting percentage against Missouri Baptist (1/22)...named to Lewis Invitational All-Tournament team after hitting .465 (25-5-43) with 17 blocks for the tournament. 2004 (Freshman): Appeared in 26 matches and 90 games in his freshman season...captured MIVA Freshman of the Year honors and was a Second Team All-MIVA selection...third on the team in kills with 271, averaging 3.01 kills per game...led the team in hitting percentage with .442 and in blocks with 108...posted one solo block and 11 block assists in the victory versus Harvard (3/27)...recorded a .667 hitting percentage in victories over Clarke (3/14) and Ball State (3/12). High School: Competed at Marquette University High School, where he garnered first-team all-conference, all-area and all-state accolades in 2003...was a starter for the Youth National Team and was honored as the Wisconsin High School Player of the Week during his senior campaign. |
