Michael Ferguson Earns NSCAA Third Team All-America Honors

Loyola University Chicago's Michael Ferguson earned Third-Team All-America honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) it was announced today. This is the second time in as many weeks Ferguson garnered third-team accolades, as the sophomore forward was recognized as a Third-Team All-American by College Soccer News last week. After an impressive sophomore campaign, Ferguson was named the Horizon League's Player of the Year and First-Team All-Horizon League selection. The Overland Park, Kan., native tallied 15 goals and two assists for a total of 32 points. He ranked fifth in the nation with an average of 0.79 goals per game and ninth with 1.68 points per game. Ferguson's offensive efforts helped the Ramblers capture their first-ever outright Horizon League regular-season title. This season Ferguson earned a pair of Horizon League Player of the Week accolades, Soccer America National Team of the Week honors on two separate occasions, and led the Horizon League in game-winning goals (7), scoring the eventual match-winner in all five League victories. Ferguson's totals this season rank third on Loyola's single-season chart in goals (15) and tied for fourth in points (32).
