Tim Jenkerson made six saves but Butler managed to escape with a 1-0 victory in tonight's Horizon League quarterfinal match

Indianapolis, Ind. (November 6, 2004) -- It was an episode of deja vu for the Loyola men's soccer team, as, for the second consecutive season, the seventh-seeded Ramblers dropped a one-goal decision to second-seeded Butler in the Horizon League quarterfinals, losing a 1-0 decision tonight at Kuntz Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. Butler advances to face Detroit in next weekend's semifinals while Loyola's season ends with a 3-14-1 mark.

Butler got on the board early through All-Horizon League First Team selection Scott Olsen scored his ninth goal of the season in the 15th minute. The hosts kept the pressure on, outshooting Loyola 10-4 in the opening period, but could not add to their lead. Loyola took the offensive in the second half in desperate search for an equalizer. The Ramblers outshot Butler, 11-5, after intermission but could not find the tying goal.

Junior Tim Jenkerson (St. Louis, Mo.) finished with six saves in the LU net.
