Loyola Announces the Addition of Eight Men's Soccer Players

CHICAGO - After capturing the program's first outright regular-season Horizon League title in 2007, Loyola University Chicago men's soccer head coach Brendan Eitz announced the addition of eight incoming recruits set to join the team for the 2008 season.

Below are brief profiles of each student-athlete:

Justin Koehler
Defender/Midfielder - 5-10
Overland Park, Kan. (Rockhurst/Blue Valley Stars)

Earned first team all-state honors in 2006 and 2007...named NSCAA All-Midwest selection in 2007...team captain his junior and senior years...four-year varsity letterwinner...led Rockhurst in scoring with 13 goals his junior year as a defender and finished his career with 22 goals and 19 assists...helped Rockhurst win its first Missouri state championship in 2007...helped the Blue Valley Stars capture the Kansas State Cup Championship five out of six years...member of Kansas ODP Team for the past seven years.

Jordan Lewis
Defender/Forward - 5-11
Chesterton, Ind. (Chesterton/NWI United)

Earned all-state first team accolades in 2007...named NWI Times Player of the Year in 2006 and 2007...named Post-Tribune Player of the Year in 2007...holds the school record in career assists (49) and career points (141)...four-year varsity starter and three-sport letterwinner in soccer, basketball and track...member of NWI United club team...member of Indiana ODP Team.

Tanner Nebbia
Forward - 5-10
Overland Park, Kan. (Blue Valley West/Blue Valley Stars)

Two-time first team all-state selection...holds the record for most career goals (41)...ranks second in career points (101) and most goals scored in a single season (17) at Blue Valley West...won USYSA Kansas State Cup five out of six years...member of Kansas ODP Team for the past six years.

Seth Stockley
Defender/Midfielder - 5-8
Earlville, Ill. (Earlville-Leland/Chicago Fire Juniors Academy)

Garnered all-state accolades in 2007...recorded 37 goals and 10 assists as a senior leading Earlville-Leland to the state championship game for the first time in school history...finished career with a school-record 126 goals...led the Rockford Raptors to USYSA National Finals in 2004...two-time member of Illinois ODP Team...named Region II Pool player in 2006 and 2007.

Scott Waggoner
Forward - 6-0
Waukee, Iowa (Dowling Catholic/CRSA)

Cedar River Soccer Association (CRSA) leading scorer in 2006 and 2007 Iowa State Cup tournaments... CRSA U-16 state cup champions in 2006, runners-up 2007...member of Iowa ODP Team for the past six years.

Erik Warren
Defender - 6-4
Wheaton, Ill. (Benet Academy/Chicago Magic Academy)

Captained Benet Academy to a regional championship in 2007...helped Chicago Magic capture the Super Y League North American Championship in 2007...led team to 2007 Illinois State Cup Championship...member of Illinois 2006 ODP 90/91 National Championship Team.

J.T. Wiebe
Midfielder - 5-11
Wheaton, Ill. (Glenbard West/HUSA Eclipse)

Named Offensive MVP in 2006 and team MVP in 2007...led Glenbard West in goals (15) and assists (12) in 2007...finished his career with 30 goals and 22 assists...two-time all sectional team selection...member of HUSA Eclipse Gold 89 club team.

Alex Wynne
Defender - 5-10
Cedar Rapids, Iowa (Xavier/CRSA)

Member of Xavier High School soccer team that captured the state championship in 2005 and 2006...helped CRSA win the 2006 Iowa state cup championship...2007 state cup runner-up...member of Iowa ODP Team for five seasons.
