Final Stats

The Loyola men's soccer team and Horizon League rival, Detroit, played to a 0-0 draw on Friday afternoon. With the tie, the Ramblers move to 4-3-3 overall and 0-0-2 in Horizon League action, while Detroit shifts to 4-5-3 overall and 0-1-1 in League play.

Despite out shooting the Titans 21-11, the Ramblers were unable to muster a goal throughout the match. Sophomores Michael Ferguson and Eric Gehrig led the Ramblers offensively with four shots apiece. Junior defender Zach Lewis notched three shots during the match, two of which were saved by Detroit goalkeeper Bryan Kloss, who recorded a total of six saves on the evening.

Loyola keeper Brian Byrne held Detroit scoreless through 110-minutes of action. The junior from Arlington Heights, Ill., tallied three saves in his fourth shutout of the season. Byrne has notched 34 saves thus far, while averaging 3.4 saves per game.

The Ramblers will return to action on Sunday, October 7 when they travel to Cleveland State to take on the Vikings, hoping to earn their first win in Horizon League action this season. The match is scheduled for 12 p.m.
