Loyola Wraps Up Play At Beu Mussato Invitational

MACOMB, Ill. - Playing in adverse weather conditions for the second straight day, the Loyola University Chicago men's golf team finished tied for 16th place at the Beu Mussato Invitational with a team score of 677. Host Western Illinois held on for the tournament title, edging DePaul, 623-630. Senior Frank Linquist fired a team-best 78 today to finish tied for 33rd with a 165 (87-78) and pace the Ramblers' lineup. Robert Caplin tied for 61st with a 171 (84-87), while Aaron Harter tied for 65th with a 172 (88-84), Michael Wieland tied for 72nd with a 174 (84-90) and Kevin Emmerich tied for 77th with a 175 (90-85) to round out Loyola's stable of competitors. Loyola is back in action next week when it hosts the Wiscon Corporation Invitational at Pine Meadow Golf Course in Mundelein, Ill., April 16-17. Final Team Results |
