Feb. 21 with a broken bone in his foot...Loyola was 4-3 when he scored in double digits...scored a season-high 20 points and handed out four assists in a loss against Milwaukee...came off the bench to post team highs of 18 points, to tie for the fourth-best debut in school history, and six rebounds in the season opener at DePaul...during a pair of exhibition contests, averaged a team-best 23.0 ppg and shot .551 (16 for 29) from the field, opening his career with a 30-point effort in only 29 minutes against Calumet College on Nov. 8...hauled in eight boards and dropped in 19 points at UMKC...came off the bench to nearly record a triple-double with 13 points, eight assists and seven rebounds against Central Michigan...followed that up with 10 points versus Birmingham-Southern at the Shamrock Office Solutions Classic...poured in 11 points at Cleveland State...sprung for 14 points off the bench at Providence. St. Joseph's High School from Baltimore...was named the Most Outstanding Player at the 2003 Alhambra Catholic Invitational Tournament...in 2001, Carmelo Anthony was named the MOP of the same tournament...Cathedral went 2-1 at the Alhambra Invite, including the school's first-ever victory over prep power DeMatha High School of Hyattsville, Md., as Kou posted 15 points, eight boards and three assists in that victory...as a junior, averaged 22.6 ppg and 11.3 rpg...was a member of the 2002 Under 18 Canadian National Team, participating in a 19-day tour of South America and Venezuela...shattered a 25-year-old record by scoring 76 points in two games at the 2002 CANUSA Games, all-star contests between Ontario, Canada and Flint, Mich. |
