CHICAGO - Loyola University Chicago will hold several activities during its annual Spirit Week, Jan. 24-30. During the week, six athletics events will be held on the Lake Shore Campus.

On Jan. 27, for the Homecoming and Parents Day men's basketball game, any parent arriving at the game with their Loyola student son or daughter will get in for a half-price admission charge of $5.

The complete schedule of events follows:

January 24
8 pm - Pep Rally with both men's and women's basketball teams in Alumni Gym. Free pizza and soft drinks will be provided, sponsored by the Spirit Week Committee.

January 25
5:30 pm - Pre-game tailgate in Weil Plaza (by St. Ignatius statue). Sponsored by Vienna Beef, Coca-Cola and Frito Lay Snacks.

7 pm - Men's basketball vs. Butler at the Gentile Center. Mertz Night at "The Joe". Edy's Brain Freeze Contest at halftime.

January 27 (Homecoming Game and Parents Day)
12:30 pm - Women's basketball vs. Detroit at the Gentile Center.

2 pm - Men's and women's basketball alumni games in Alumni Gym.

4 pm - Men's basketball vs. Wright State at the Gentile Center.

6 pm - Post-game BBQ in Weil Plaza. Open to all. Sponsored by the Spirit Week Committee.

January 28
10:30 am - Mass in the Mundelein Center Auditorium.

2:30 pm - Annual Battle of the Boards Indoor Track meet in Alumni Gym.

January 29
7 pm - Men's basketball vs. Youngstown State at the Gentile Center.

January 30
5:30 pm - Tailgate party in Weil Plaza. Open to all. Sponsored by the Spirit Week Committee.

7 pm - Men's volleyball vs. Carthage in Alumni Gym.
