Loyola Softball Park
Loyola Softball Park opened in the spring of 1997 and provides the Ramblers with one of the finest collegiate playing surfaces in the Chicagoland area. Designed for Loyola's softball team, the facility also has a separate field for men's and women's soccer. The complex, which is located just one mile west of the university's Lake Shore Campus, has seen major upgrades in the past three years as a FieldTurf surface and new lights have been installed since 2005.
Loyola Softball Park features permanent home and visitor dugouts, bleacher seating behind home plate, a public address system, an electronic scoreboard, locker rooms, restrooms, a concession stand, and lights for night contests. The field, which is was the site of the 2001 Midwestern Collegiate Conference Championship and will be the site of the 2008 Horizon League Championship, runs 190 feet down each line and 200 feet to center field.
