Loyola Soccer Park
Prior to the 2005 season, the soccer field underwent a major renovation as FieldTurf was installed, replacing a natural grass surface, and new lights were put in place for the 2007 campaign. The park includes bleacher seating for approximately 500 fans, lighting for night games, a public address system, scoreboard and free parking. In the spring of 2000, construction of the Stevens Field House, which includes a locker room facility and a concession stand, was completed. The field is a definite sign of Loyola's commitment to both its men's and women's soccer programs. Besides giving the Ramblers an outstanding facility for training and games, its location in the heart of Rogers Park provides fans and visiting teams a unique and friendly atmosphere. In 2003, Loyola Soccer Park was the site of the Horizon League Women's Soccer Championship as the Ramblers won their first title and claimed their first-ever NCAA Tournament berth. The soccer park has also been the site of IHSA playoff soccer contests. |
